谈宜东，清华大学精密仪器系副教授，博士生导师，国家基金委优青，英国皇家学会牛顿高级学者。现任清华大学精密仪器系副主任。

主要从事激光技术和精密测量方面的教学和科研工作。作为负责人承担国家及省部级项目40余项。截至目前，共发表SCI检索论文100余篇，授权发明专利30余项。先后获省部级科技奖励6项，其中一等奖2项。

目前任中国电子信息行业联合会光电产业委员会副会长、中国仪器仪表学会机械量测试仪器分会常务理事、中国机械工程学会高级会员、光学测试专委会委员、光电技术专委会委员。担任《中国激光》《红外与激光工程》《应用光学》《计测技术》青年编委，《激光技术》编委。

Yidong Tan is associate professor and PhD supervisor of Department of Precision Instrument, Tsinghua University. He is the recipients of the National Science Fund for Excellent Young Scholars and Newton advanced fellowship of the Royal Society of UK. He is currently working as deputy dean of Department of Precision Instruments, Tsinghua University.

Tan’s research interests include laser technology and precision measurement. He is the project leader of more than 40 national or provincial and ministerial level of projects. Thus far, he has published more than 100 SCI-indexed papers and received more than 30 patents. He has won 6 provincial and ministerial level of awards, including 2 of first prize.

He is now the vice president of the Photoelectric Industry Committee of China Information Technology Industry Federation (CITIF), standing director of Mechanical Quantity Measurement Instrumentation TC of China Instrument and Control Society (CIS), senior member of Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society (CMES), committee member of Optical Testing Committee, committee member of Photoelectric Technology Committee. He is also the youth editorial board member of Chinese Journal of Laser, Infrared and Laser Engineering, Journal of Applied Optics and Metrology & Measurement Technology, editorial board member of Laser Technology.
